Kyukyu Ramen 99: Yay or Nay?

Ramen has been one of my favorite Japanese food. When the pandemic hits our lives it is of the food I missed since I barely go outside.

When I saw the FB post of Kyukyu Ramen 99 that they have a store open in SM Taytay, I almost droll since I've craving for it for quite some time and immediately tried it.

Kyukyu Ramen 99 is it a Yay or a Nay?

Menu:

- Ramen as low as P99

- Gyoza

- Matcha ice cream

- Chicken Teriyaki

- Beef Gyudon

What To Expect?

1. SM Taytay Branch, it is located at the food court, so if you're thinking of fancy dining for instagramable background on your pics this is not a place to go. Maybe you can try their other location.

2. Ramen as low as P99 is real, but you can try their other menu with higher but very reasonable prices.

3. No bottomless ice tea.

4. You can also order for take-out add P20 for the take-out packaging. But you are not allowed to request take-out packing for the leftovers when you order for dine-in.

Kyukyu Ramen 99: Yay or Nay?

This one is a BIG YAY!

Food - I ordered Spicy Ichiban Ramen (P199) for the price against its taste this is definitely worth it compare to other ramen restaurants which the cost per bowl is around 350-500.

Location - It is located at the food court so you can not compare or think anything more or anything less, manage your expectations.

Drinks - the iced tea is good it blended perfectly to the ramen like what I said it is not bottomless so next time I eat I maybe I should order 2 glasses.

Service - Since it is located at a food court the service is fast and the staff at Kyukyu Ramen 99 at SM Taytay branch are polite and accommodating.

Although the gyoza that I ordered was half-cooked they immediately assist me and recooked it. But for the ramen and the matcha ice cream. Taste vs. Price this is a ramen place that I highly recommend. If I am craving for authentic Japanese ramen and on a tight budget, Kyukyu Ramen 99 is on the top of my list.

Will I go back again? DEFINITELY
