A total of 3,311 job vacancies from 33 companies were made available during the one-day event, underscoring strong demand for workers across key industries such as retail and mall operations, food manufacturing and food service, construction and industrial services, logistics and warehousing, information technology, and business process outsourcing (BPO).

Held at the mall’s third level, the job fair drew 404 jobseekers, with 53 applicants hired on the spot, while many others advanced to final interviews and further screening.
The initiative was mounted in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment, the Caloocan City Public Employment Service Office, and the Rotaract Club of Caloocan. The collaboration highlights efforts between government and the private sector to expand access to employment.

To streamline the application process, the event also featured a one-stop service hub where applicants processed pre-employment requirements, including NBI clearance, SSS registration, police clearance, community tax certificates, and PhilHealth membership.
Complementing the job fair, SM Center Sangandaan also recently hosted the Department of Labor and Employment’s Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES), which gathered 560 participants during its orientation and contract signing activity. The SPES program is a youth employment-bridging initiative of DOLE that provides temporary work opportunities to qualified students, out-of-school youth, and dependents of displaced workers. It helps beneficiaries gain work experience while supporting their education through additional household income during school breaks or other periods of availability.
